Overview
The Radiologist is responsible for interpreting complex diagnostic imaging studies and providing timely, accurate evaluations to support patient care. This role involves reading a wide range of imaging exams including CT scans, ultrasounds, and radiographs, as well as consulting with physicians to determine diagnoses and treatment plans. The Radiologist plays a key role in managing patients across the continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and evaluate diagnostic imaging studies across all body systems
Provide consultative support to physicians regarding radiologic findings
Recommend appropriate imaging studies based on patient condition and history
Correlate imaging results with clinical findings and other diagnostic tests
Document diagnoses and recommendations in patient records
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Assist in coordinating imaging services, including staffing, equipment, and procedures
Support training and educational activities for clinical staff and technicians
Provide coverage for imaging services, including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed
Ensure accurate and timely completion of electronic health records and documentation
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of a Radiology residency program (minimum 5 years)
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiology
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
Skills & Experience:
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and ethical standards
Ability to manage high workload and make decisions under pressure
Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and clinical demands
