Our business is built on innovation, integrity, and a deep connection to the land, and we are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do – from paddock to plate.* Always support and operate by the Company values ensuring our high standard of safety and quality are maintained.* Ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.* Ensure staff are aware of the hazards in the relevant work environments.* Driving the performance in the department (KPI’s)* Ensure work instructions are signed before the trainee attends the workstation and commences on the job training.* Ensure workers follow safe work instructions.* Coordinate and oversee workplace-based training programs for all process workers in the Cold Stores.* Monitor and keep records of the training progress.* Sign off employees on all load shifting equipment via VOC as required.* Assist management in making work instructions for any new process or equipment in the Cold Stores department.* Review all Cold Stores work instructions and ensure these are active, up-to-date and provide changes if needed.* Make reasonable adjustments for learners with LLN gaps.* Assess learners if they are competent or not with the job, they are training according to the Company's Safe Work Instructions and Company and customer specifications.**Key Duties:***Health and Safety:* Maintain and improve plant environment whilst consistently adhering to Company and legislative health and safety policies, practices and procedures.*Develops a team family/culture to ensure the best practice and teamwork is gained:* Maintain and help to improve the team’s ability to effectively make changes to gain excellence. Drive ongoing improvement in all areas.*Oversee and be responsible for Training and Assessing of all Cold Store employees:* Coordinate with Safety Officer and Head Trainer to ensure that all training is appropriate and meets compliance with company policy, Procedures and guidelines. Develop and document on-the-job training guidelines for trainees .*Provides support, leadership and mentoring to process workers with confidence while building solid relationships:* To provide on-the-job instruction, skill development and general Supervision of the trainees and qualified equipment operators alike.Undertake one-on-one coaching and mentoring of employees while undertaking intensive training.*Other duties as reasonably directed by your Manager:* To complete such tasks and projects in a competent and timely manner in accordance with directions from the ManagerWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to having a workforce that reflects the community in which we live and work.
