Senior Design and Analysis Engineer – F/A-18 & EA-18 Mission Systems
Berkeley, Missouri – 100% onsite. This position is part of the F/A-18 and EA-18 Mission Systems team at Boeing Defense.

Position Responsibilities

Integration and development of Apps/Containers/Skills across multiple F/A-18 and EA-18 contracts to advance advanced capabilities for warfighters.

Plan and execute complex hardware‑software integration efforts with external customers and internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced agile environment.

Identify, collect, analyze, and organize technical execution/resource data (metrics) to manage the program.

Provide technical communication across teams and levels of technical leadership.

Analyze customer requests with consideration for contractual and technical impacts, and translate them into program and system requirements.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.

Support and resolve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Proactively understand product systems and apply systems thinking principles to accelerate performance with first‑time quality.

Provide technical leadership and on‑the‑job training for junior engineers.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor of Science (or greater) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field.

Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a master’s or PhD.

2+ years of Systems Engineering experience in mission systems, including aircraft modifications and systems integration.

1+ year of experience leading teams and/or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years with a master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD.

Experience with OMS and GRA implementations/requirements.

Experience with systems architecture.

Experience generating system and subsystem‑level requirements.

Experience using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process.

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and DOORS.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong collaboration and coordination skills.

Conflict of Interest
Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Security Clearance
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (active within the past 24 months). Current U.S. citizenship is required.

Export Control Requirements
To meet U.S. export control compliance, the candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62. A “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Summary Pay Range
Level 3: $112,200 – $151,800

Level 4: $136,850 – $185,150
