Overview
LMG is seeking a Supervisor – Ops Lighting QC to lead and elevate the quality control operations within our Lighting department. This role combines hands-on lighting expertise with strong leadership and operational oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring all lighting equipment meets LMG standards, developing QC processes, and guiding a team that supports live events, touring, and production excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee daily Lighting QC operations including testing, prepping, and validating equipment
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards
Schedule work assignments, set priorities, and direct the workflow of QC technicians
Ensure lighting systems are fully configured, complete, and production ready
Record and track client complaints related to equipment performance and reliability
Collaborate with Project Coordinators and Logistics on gear availability and substitutions
Document equipment failures and work with Engineering on repairs and replacements
Lead safety initiatives and perform monthly safety audits in the Lighting QC area
Improve operational systems, processes, and reporting for efficiency and accuracy
Support long term operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient lighting workspaces
Assist with warehouse operations including pickups, returns, and internal requests
What We’re Looking For
5 to 7 years of experience in audiovisual, lighting, quality assurance, or inventory control
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 to 5 years of hands on AV or lighting experience
Strong leadership and supervisory experience preferred
Ability to manage priorities and multiple workflows in a fast paced environment
Strong understanding of lighting equipment, prep standards, and QC processes
Flexible availability to meet operational demands
