Summary
The Reconditioning Specialist ensures all dealership inventory is inspected, reconditioned, staged, and maintained at the highest quality standards. This includes coordinating reconditioning workflows, supporting inventory movement, maintaining lot organization, and conducting detailed inspections of both new and used vehicles. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect, check in, photo, and direct the reconditioning of pre-owned inventory.
Inspect, check in, and write Repair Orders for new vehicles.
Maintain communication with outside vendors and internal departments.
Clean interior and exterior of vehicles; replenish fluids and replace batteries as needed.
Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
Keep lots neat and orderly; move vehicles according to dealership display standards.
Drive vehicles to and from service lane, stalls, parking lot, and vendor locations.
Make key tags and maintain key organization.
Move, park, and organize all new and used inventory.
Expect 10,000+ steps per day performing lot and vehicle duties.
Deliver and pick up vehicles from outside vendors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Able to work flexible schedules, including some weekends.
Positive attitude, can-do mentality, confident, outgoing, and eager to improve.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (21+ preferred).
Very detail-oriented and organized.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with Google Suite preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk 10,000+ steps daily.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the lot for extended periods.
Must be able to enter and exit a variety of vehicles repeatedly.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
Fast-paced dealership environment.
Frequent outdoor activity and movement across the lot, service drive, and vendor locations.
Regular interaction with inventory, service teams, sales staff, and vendors.
