
Production Artist

Position Overview
The Production Artist will play a key role in bringing our client’s packaging to life by collaborating closely with clients, cross-functional teams and vendors to manage and execute the pre-production process. This role requires experience in beverage packaging production, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will have a meticulous eye for detail, a background using design software, and working experience preparing artwork for production. While design skills are welcome, this is primarily a production role collaborating with clients to take their existing designs and preparing them for production.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Client Collaboration: Review client artwork for printability and consult as necessary on design, color and ink recommendations to optimize client’s design for the highest quality finished production while minimizing potential production issues. Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors, communicating design requirements and concepts clearly. Gather feedback and revisions to enhance existing beverage packaging artwork, ensuring client satisfaction and approval
Technical Preparation: Prepare and optimize artwork files for production, ensuring they meet printing and manufacturing specifications
Communication: Clear and effective communication with both external and internal customers and teams. Address their feedback and incorporate changes as necessary
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are updated on project progress. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline the production process
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on artwork files to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and adherence to production standards. Address and rectify any issues that may arise during the production process

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
1-3+ years of experience with beverage packaging in a similar role with an in-house, brand or advertising agency
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and other design software, and ability to implement new software internally
Strong technical understanding of color management and knowledge of beverage packaging printing processes, materials, and industry standards (aluminum can artwork preferred)
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client requirements
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical requirements to clients unfamiliar with beverage packaging processes
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Enthusiasm and ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Must be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to learn new concepts quicklyAbility to commute onsite for internal and external meetings as needed
