Responsibilities As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities include:
Developing new business opportunities through relationship building and enhancing Michels\' brand awareness, acting as an ambassador to promote the company as the contractor of choice.
Focusing on the Pumped Storage Hydro market and engaging with clients and partners to establish a project pipeline and win strategies within the assigned industry, educating stakeholders on collaborative delivery methods.
Engaging clients at industry-relevant tradeshows, working with management and marketing to drive growth through effective messaging and investment.
Providing direction to Proposal Managers and Marketing for developing collateral content, ensuring the CRM tool (Salesforce) is accurate and updated, and offering input during bidding to establish pursuit strategies and prepare proposals.
Participating in the annual business planning process by preparing industry insights and coordinating cross-selling opportunities, implementing the One Michels approach.
Developing project-specific win strategies, attending industry events to gain local contacts, and supporting the creation of high-quality proposal documents throughout the pursuit process.
Qualifications What it takes?
10+ years of professional experience
Awareness of pumped storage market and industry stakeholders
Experience in the construction and/or engineering industry
Experience developing scopes with clients and communicating with internal stakeholders
Familiarity with public sector work is desired
Experience presenting to large groups or forums
Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
Travel required – up to 50-60% of the time
