Job Title: V&V Engineer
Reports To: Director, Engineering Verification
Location: Austin, TX
Business Unit Description: Recon – Enabling Technology
The Verification and Validation Engineer ensures requirements and specifications are met by conducting V&V testing against requirements, designs and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
Performs evaluations and audits of software documentation and software processes associated with applications.
Reviews and understands pending changes, estimates scope and work effort, writes test cases
Hands-on test execution and test tracking of assigned products, including new products or applications and modifications to existing products or applications.
Actively provides status to Director on assigned projects
Actively participates in standups and provides status to agile team
Writes and retests software defects
Reviews logs and understands basic debugging techniques
Assists with test planning and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering or similar
At least 2-3 years of experience in medical device development
Understanding of medical anatomical definitions & musculoskeletal structures particularly regarded
Desired Skills & Attributes
Strong technical writing skills & computer literacy, especially from a medical device development background
Understanding of software architecture concepts and software design patterns and experience working with a team to establish maintainable software development practices
