Part-Time Medical Review Psychiatrist Locums Job in Kansas
We are seeking a Kansas-licensed Psychiatrist for a flexible, low-hour medical review and clinical oversight role supporting youth behavioral health programs.
Role Overview
Review and sign off on treatment plans to ensure medical necessity and psychiatric appropriateness
Provide general clinical oversight and clinical guidance as needed
Conduct periodic case audits to ensure documentation quality, compliance, and continuity of care
Support care programs serving approximately 500 youth per month
Be available for clinical escalations when required
Position Details
Part-time / consulting structure
Estimated commitment: 2-5 hours per month (initially)
Fully remote with asynchronous chart review
Start date: As soon as possible
End date: Ongoing, based on fit and provider availability
Ideal Candidate
Licensed in the state of Kansas
Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, family medicine, or care coordination
Background in utilization review, medical review, or quality oversight preferred
Comfortable working independently in a remote, low-touch environment
Additional Notes
No direct patient care responsibilities
No supervision or collaboration with nurse practitioners required
No required chart review percentage
