Description: 

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Queens College seeks a full-time College Laboratory Technician (CLT) who will directly report to the stockroom supervisor and will be responsible for setting up and running the teaching laboratories courses. Some specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversee procurement and delivery logistics for laboratory gases, dry ice, and cryogenic materials.


• Manage the acquisition of chemicals, biochemicals, and organic solvents for teaching laboratories.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date chemical inventories.


• Provide technical expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing departmental electronic and analytical equipment used in teaching and research laboratories.
