Job Summary
The
Project Manager II – Nuclear
is a senior leadership role responsible for
directing, managing, and delivering complex nuclear projects
that support organizational and strategic objectives. This position provides
strategic direction, project governance, and mentorship
to project teams while ensuring projects are delivered
safely, on time, within scope, within budget, and in full compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements .
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in
nuclear project execution , strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage
large, multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments .
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategy
Provide
strategic leadership and direction
for complex nuclear projects
Lead project
planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Ensure alignment of project objectives with
organizational and business strategies
Scope, Risk & Performance Management
Define and manage
project scope, objectives, and deliverables
in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop and implement
comprehensive risk management strategies
to proactively address technical, regulatory, and execution risks
Monitor and control project performance, ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and quality requirements
Execution & Governance
Apply
advanced project management methodologies
and innovative approaches to improve project delivery
Maintain accurate and complete
project documentation , controls, and reporting
Provide regular
status reports and executive-level briefings
to senior leadership
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
Manage communication and expectations of
internal and external stakeholders , including engineering, operations, construction, regulatory, and executive leadership
Ensure compliance with
nuclear safety culture, NRC regulations, and company standards
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead, mentor, and coach
project managers and project teams , sharing industry best practices
Foster a high-performance, safety-focused, and collaborative project environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
10–15+ years of project management experience , including leadership of complex, large-scale projects
Extensive experience managing projects in
nuclear or highly regulated utility environments
Advanced knowledge of
project management principles, methodologies, and tools
Strong experience managing projects with
strategic organizational impact
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and lead
multidisciplinary teams
Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional)

Required
Advanced certifications or specialized nuclear / program management credentials –
Highly Preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing
capital projects, outages, or major modifications
in nuclear facilities
Experience interfacing with
executive leadership and regulatory organizations
