
Business Development Manager

We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify, contact, and develop new potential clients and projects.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
• Leads the sales process, with support as necessary, by seeking business opportunities in New Jersey and the surrounding states.
• Strategically develops key relationships and clients.
• Recommends solutions for key client needs and work to adapt existing products to market needs.
• Prepares and makes sales presentations focusing on value to customers.
• Arranges customer sales visits and demonstrations.
• Work with customer sales/technical staff to get relevant details, ensuring that the needs and expectations of the customer are clarified and communicated.
• Manages and participates in quote preparation, pricing and presentations to customers. Conducts proposal meetings, assigns tasks and sets deadlines, track progress, communicates and compiles information from involved departments and ensures that customer requirements and deadlines are met.
• Leads negotiation with the customer including preparation of agreements and possible structuring of financing solutions. Maintains a close liaison with other members of the team, including operations, finance, legal, insurance, sales, install.
• Maintains current business development database. Prepares monthly reports and internal memos promptly, to communicate and outline opportunities, to take corrective actions to resolve issues before they become problems and to assist with forecasting.
Requirements • Proven track record in sales or business development
• Ability to interpret customer issues, needs and requirements and determine best fit or equivalent technical and commercial experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Theatrical Rigging/Drapery Knowledge
• Ability to review, comprehend and negotiate legal contracts (with attorney support)
