Back Production Manager (Full-Time)

Schedule: Full-Time/Monday-Friday/4 a.m.-1 p.m.
Salary: $45,000-$55,000/year based on experience
About Us Bethel Bakery is a family-owned and operated bakery that’s been “baking life sweeter” since 1955. We’re known for our scratch-made baked goods and custom-decorated cakes that are part of Pittsburgh family traditions.
We’re hiring a Back Production Manager to lead our team, ensuring daily operations are efficient, organized, and meet our high-quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong management experience in a food service or bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a 10-person production team (mixing, depositing, baking, etc.)
Oversee and participate in the daily production of baked goods
Ensure product quality, consistency, and adherence to recipes
Train and coach staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
Manage staff schedules, performance, attendance, and compliance with policies
Handle inventory forecasting, ordering, and waste control
Monitor product appearance, size, and weight for quality control
Fill in on the production floor as needed to support operations
Maintain training documentation and food safety compliance
Occasionally drive, load, and unload a 16-foot box truck for store deliveries
What We’re Looking For Previous bakery or food production experience is required
Proven leadership experience managing a team
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in hot/cold environments and lifting up to 50 pounds
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT medical exam (company-paid)
Must be at least 18 and pass our drug/background screening process
