Business Development Representative Urgent Care
Join American Family Care (AFC) as a Business Development Representative focused on urgent care locations. This role identifies and cultivates new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our urgent and primary care network.
Company Overview
AFC is one of the largest primary and urgent care providers in the United States, operating walk‑in centers seven days a week. Each location includes an onsite lab and in‑house X‑ray capability. AFC’s parent company, AFC Franchising, LLC, owns the majority of our centers, while some operate as independent franchises with similar responsibilities and benefits.
Position Overview
As a Healthcare Business Development Representative, you will work closely with management to develop outreach strategies, build relationships with healthcare organizations, and increase patient volume at our urgent care sites.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation – research and identify potential healthcare clients and partners through networking, industry events, and online platforms.
Outreach – conduct cold calls, emails, and social media interactions to engage potential clients.
Relationship Building – develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers in healthcare organizations.
Sales Strategy – collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into clients and execute effective conversion plans.
Market Analysis – stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to position AFC solutions strategically.
Reporting – track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to align with business goals.
Client Support – provide exceptional follow‑up and support to ensure a positive client experience and address concerns.
Additional duties – increase patient volume per day, maintain relationships with current partners, and support cross‑departmental collaboration.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 years in business development, sales, or a related role within the healthcare industry. Experience in urgent care and with WC/OCCMED systems preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, key players, trends, and challenges.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Tech‑savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with healthcare IT solutions is a plus.
Drive: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
