This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their dental health and comfort while performing various clinical tasks in a fast-paced environment.*Responsibilities** Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy on patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.* Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.* Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record management.* Assist in chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during dental treatments.* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.* Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques in compliance with HIPAA regulations.* Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.* Manage medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.* Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.* Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in general dentistry practices.*Qualifications** Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.* Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.* Proficiency in using dental software is highly desirable.* Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.* Familiarity with medical ...
