Job Details
In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for driving sustained revenue growth through direct engagement with clients and consultants. Your extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in estimating and project management, will be instrumental in originating, cultivating, and closing business opportunities. You will actively manage the full business development lifecycle from strategy development to contract award.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement market-specific business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives and objectives.
Client & Consultant Relationship Management: Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with clients and industry partners, serving as a primary point of contact throughout the project cycle.
Opportunity Leadership & Closing: Lead pursuits from identification to contract execution, collaborating with teams to develop competitive proposals and actively participating in interviews and presentations.
Internal Collaboration & Market Intelligence: Utilize hands-on estimating and project management expertise to ensure realistic and operationally sound pursuits, and provide valuable market insights to executive leadership.
Mentorship: Mentor junior business development and marketing staff to share industry knowledge and foster professional growth.
Qualifications
15+ years of demonstrated success in commercial construction business development.
Prior hands-on experience in estimating and project management for a commercial general contractor.
Proven track record of independently generating, pursuing, and winning work across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and hospitality.
Strong understanding of delivery methods such as CM at Risk, Design-Build, and negotiated GMP work.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a strong financial and contractual knowledge base.
