Shiloh & Bros is hiring: VFX Artist (Compositing) in Nashville
Shiloh & Bros, Nashville, TN, United States
Location: Greater Nashville, TN (Hybrid/In-Office preferred; Remote available for the right candidate)
Company: Shiloh & Bros
About the Role
Are you a master of visual trickery? Do you know how to make the impossible look like it actually happened in a Nashville backyard? Shiloh & Bros is looking for a talented VFX Artist specializing in Compositing to join our fast‑paced creative team. You’ll have the chance to work on projects that are seen by a massive, engaged audience and play a pivotal role in defining our visual identity.
We create high‑energy, live‑action content that blends comedy, gaming tropes, and cinematic spectacle. We need someone who can take raw plates and transform them into polished, immersive worlds. We’d like to have you in the room with us at our studio in the greater Nashville area, but are open to a remote or hybrid situation for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Seamless Integration: Seamlessly layer 2D and 3D elements (CG characters, matte paintings, fire/smoke/water FX) into live‑action plates.
Cleanup & Prep: Perform high‑level rotoscoping, paint‑outs, wire removal, and plate stabilization.
Color & Light: Match lighting, color grading, and grain to ensure every VFX shot feels cohesive with the original cinematography.
Visual Storytelling: Work closely with the Director and Lead Editor to push the visual quality of our sketches and series.
Efficiency: Manage multiple shots across different projects, maintaining a high standard of quality under tight digital‑media deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
The Portfolio: A strong reel showcasing your ability to composite live‑action footage. We want to see how you handle light, shadow, and depth.
Software Mastery: Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe After Effects or Nuke . Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop) is a must.
Technical Eye: Deep understanding of tracking (2D), keying (green/blue screen), and color space.
Creative Problem Solver: You can find clever ways to fix a shot or enhance a gag without needing a Hollywood‑sized budget.
Collaborative Spirit: You take feedback well and can pivot quickly in a high‑energy, "start‑up" style creative environment.
Bonus Points
Experience with 3D software (Maya or Blender).
Knowledge of gaming culture and internet trends.
Experience working on high‑growth YouTube or digital‑first brands.
How to Apply
If your resume has a link to your demo reel on it, then applying on LinkedIn is fine. If you would like to reach out to explain anything, share a link, or just introduce yourself, feel free to send us an email at Production@shilohandbros.com – please put "Compositor" in the subject line.
