Job Description
NBCUniversal Advertising Products & Solutions (AP&S) manages the product development and project management for NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. The Data Operations team seeks a Data Analyst to support the manager on the Advanced Data Operations team, applying Digital Video and Display tactics and strategies to ensure operational efficiency of audience‑targeted ad products.
Areas Of Responsibility
Work with data vendors to ensure audience targets are delivered and available for the execution of targeted campaigns across digital platforms.
Provide project management and tracking support to the overall data team to enhance campaign operations, implement new data‑targeted products, and troubleshoot processes.
Generate frequent reports and maintain dashboards for audience upkeep and privacy‑oriented compliance.
Partner with the One Platform Ad Sales group to provide data operations guidance, develop new operational workflows, and assist with troubleshooting.
Utilize analytic tools and databases to identify key metrics, trends and insights that position NBCUniversal ad products and services to clients.
Assist in managing vendor relationships, including identifying and testing ways to leverage their platforms and data for offline and online data convergence.
Evaluate data vendors’ contribution to campaign fulfilment and our data products to ensure efficient sourcing of audience data.
Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to ensure new data products are optimized for data operations use and document new use cases, enhancements, and bugs.
Leverage coding and programming skills to analyze datasets and build strategic audiences.
Keep abreast of rapidly evolving technologies and trends in the TV and digital realms, building a thorough understanding of the media and advertising ecosystem and its key players.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required, preferably in a quantitative field of study.
2+ years of professional experience in media, digital advertising, technology, or financial services.
Digital campaign management, ad ops experience, or TV and addressable advertising experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with DMPs/CDPs and FreeWheel MRM.
Familiarity with digital operations and working with 3rd‑party vendors.
Familiarity with traditional TV measurement (Nielsen) and digital media math.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to take ownership of open‑ended problems, document business requirements, manage timelines, and drive projects to completion.
Customer service orientation (internal and external customers).
Highly self‑motivated and entrepreneurial spirit; intellectually curious, proactively seeking time‑saving solutions and tools.
Familiarity with both online and offline data sources and available linkages.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Innovative mindset with the capacity to deliver on multiple campaigns, contribute new ideas, meet tight deadlines, and be decisive under pressure.
