Job Description The manager is a member of the Strategic and Audience Support division.The Innovation Teamprovides research-based strategic recommendations to administration for seminary and institute student experience improving impact and increasing reach, workforce experience, interaction with parents and Church leaders, and more. The work of the manager helps youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.
Responsibilities Work under the direction of the division director to support administrators, field innovation mentors, and S&I area leaders.Provide support and training for other roles as needed.
Meet regularly with Field Innovation Mentors, and area leaders as needed to align innovative efforts and provide support in training, measurement and reporting. Meet with Field Associate Administrators as requested.
Assist in development of division innovation toolkit including: Innovation Sharepoint site; submissions to the S&I Communities Help Desk and Knowledge Base; skill-specific training (e.g., focus group audience listening training, measurement training, etc.)
Participate in central office assignments as required, including various working groups.
Providing audience listening (focus groups, surveys, etc.) on demand for COB divisions, administration and area leaders.
Understand the audience's experience and needs. Provide strategic recommendations that respond to needs and improve the audience experience.
Assist in fostering an organizational culture of aligned innovation
Assist in interpreting metrics for Seminaries & Institute in efforts to extend reach and deepen impact of our programs.
Partner with other divisions to improve learning and experience.
Review reports from team members.
Manage and support division interns.
Regularly review and update a professional development plan. Work towards accomplishing those goals and render an account to the division director.
Manage operations, finances, information, reports, resources, and programs.
This position may require travel.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required: Understanding the application of the Leadership Pattern and People Management Principles in S&I settings.
Conversant in the principles and practices of Teaching in the Savior's Way.
Ability to show empathy and understanding of the experiences and feelings of different audience segments or personas.
Collaboration-minded.
Ability to effectively gather data, utilize analytical skills to assess current research, processes and products, and counsel with divisions and leaders to determine strategic goals and direction.
Comfortable working in a highly innovative and highly deferent environment.
Ability to provide creative solutions that are in line with gospel and S&I principles and priorities
Responsive and timely in providing solutions to administration needs.
Ability to understand complex systems and how they relate
Have a firm understanding of current relevant research on target audiences.
Proficient in developmental processes and skills necessary to assess, observe, train, provide feedback, and supportothers.
Experienced in planning and conducting meaningful conversations.
Advanced interpersonal communication skills—including verbal communication, active listening, body language, openness, negotiation, decision making, and conflict resolution and mediation.
Experience in instructional design, training and presentation
Exhibit humility and purposeful collaboration with leaders, colleagues, and peers.
Proficient in building constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of integrity, acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Proficient in planning and exercising time management on assigned tasks to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Aligned to the direction and policies of the Board of Education and S&I Leadership.
Must be able to use standard office equipment.
The manager is expected to meet the S&I conditions of employment.
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment
