CAD Technician/ Civil Design

Overview This CAD Technician will be led by Project Managers on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers focused on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, design manuals, plans and profiles, sections, details and specifications. The CAD Technician must work well in a team environment, be proficient in AutoCAD and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities Produce design phase deliverables including reports, design manuals, plans and profiles, sections, details and specifications as part of a team led by Project Managers and multi-discipline design engineers.
Qualifications 0 or more years of entry-level drafting experience in a professional setting
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation, and GIS mapping
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Must have sufficient English skills to compose correspondence, proofread documents, and effectively communicate with supervisors, other technicians, and clients
Preferred Skills Water main and sewer main design (but not mandatory)
Water and Wastewater Plant design (but not mandatory)
Working knowledge of GIS software
Degree, Diploma or Certificate in CAD drafting or design
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
