
Licensed PT Assistant

Essential Duties
Adhere to Code of Ethics as outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Provide direct patient care and therapeutic intervention per treatment plan developed by Licensed PT.
Have a good understanding of indications and contraindications of all modalities and procedures.
Be able to accurately take measurements and perform tests per the Licensed PT request.
Record patients progress and report any changes to the Licensed PT.
Provide physicians with patient’s progress notes as needed.
Participate in in-service and continuing education programs.
Assist with maintaining adequate equipment and necessary supplies.
Maintain records that accurately reflect patient care.
Comply with hospital policies and procedures.
Attend all in-service education programs as assigned.
Be able to adequately schedule patients.
Have a good understanding of billing procedures.
Be able to adequately answer patient’s questions in regard to treatments.
Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
Assist with pulling charts.
Qualifications
Education and License: Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Hold a current license in the State of Oregon as a Physical Therapy Assistant, required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
Additional Qualifications
Must be able to travel.
Must hold a current First Aid and CPR card.
Must be adaptable to changing work environments.
Must have good transfer skills.
Be a team player.
Work Environment
Works indoors in an air‑conditioned gym/office environment.
Physical Demands
Frequent use of computer and phone, and other standard office machines. Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull using proper body mechanics and move/lift varying amounts of weight to a maximum of 60 lbs.
