We are now hiring a Full-Time
Medicaid Alternative Pathways (MAPs) Coordinator
in
Maryville, TN . The Medicaid Alternative Pathways (MAPs) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the
development, coordination, and delivery of the MAPs program. MAPs is designed to empower
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by teaching skills that promote
independent living, employment, and meaningful community integration. The MAPs Coordinator
provides coaching and individualized supports that foster independence through the use of
technology, virtual community mapping, life skills development, and person-centered goal
achievement.
Starting pay rate is $17.00/ per hour
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of MAPs participants
Collaborate with individuals to develop a Virtual Community Resource Map (VCRM), identifying
key people, places, and activities
Train participants and their support networks on enabling technologies (e.g., smartphones,
tablets, and applications) to support daily tasks such as cooking, banking, health management,
and scheduling
Coach participants in independent living skills, job readiness, transportation, healthy living, and
social engagement
Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
Attend conferences, seminars, and required trainings as assigned
Cooperate fully with licensing authorities and departmental staff during inspections, inquiries,
or investigations
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience working in the IDD field or a related human
services field
Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels, both
internally and externally
Ability to establish and maintain supportive, respectful relationships with individuals served
Strong proficiency in the use of technology and digital tools
Ability to present ideas and factual data in a clear concise manner
Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
