Compensation: $25–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience

Position Overview
As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will manage and support audio-visual services across the hotel. Your role includes overseeing AV equipment, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring flawless execution of events. You will be responsible for meeting all AV and technology needs to enhance guest experiences. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and proficient in both AV and IT support.

Key Responsibilities

AV Equipment Management:

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, lighting, and video conferencing systems.

Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and during events.

Event Support and Setup:

Prepare AV equipment for meetings, events, and presentations, including microphones and slide advancers.

Conduct pre-event checks and assist in room setup to meet guest and event requirements.

Technical Troubleshooting:

Provide urgent AV support, resolve technical issues, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

Assist with video conferencing and other technical needs.

Client and Event Support:

Collaborate with event planners, hotel staff, and clients to ensure seamless integration of AV elements into events.

Provide clear and effective communication regarding AV setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Attend weekly planning meetings with the conference and event planning team to discuss upcoming events and AV requirements.

Participate in client pre-planning meetings as assigned to understand and address specific AV needs for events.

Maintenance and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on AV equipment.

Report potential issues and equipment malfunctions to management.

IT Support:

Provide basic IT support for computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

Assist with network connectivity and troubleshoot IT issues.

Professionalism and Compliance:

Maintain professional grooming standards and a positive demeanor.

Follow and enforce grooming and conduct standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an AV environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Strong technical skills in AV and IT systems, including video conferencing and consumer electronics.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.

Familiarity with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event setup requirements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
