Audio Visual (AV) Estimator
Location: Houston, TX
Electra Link is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Audio Visual (AV) Estimator to join our growing team. What You’ll Do
Review project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
Prepare proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure solutions align with client needs and budgets.
Evaluate project scope and identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
Obtain vendor quotes and maintain current knowledge of AV products and technologies.
Assist with bid preparation, submission, and follow-up.
Support project handoff to operations with clear and complete documentation.
Participate in occasional site visits to better understand project conditions.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in AV estimating, low-voltage systems, or a related field.
Strong understanding of audiovisual systems (displays, conferencing, control systems, sound systems, and structured cabling).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical bid documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (estimating software experience a plus).
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or willingness to obtain.
Experience with AV manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or similar.
Familiarity with commercial construction and bid processes.
