AutoCAD 2D & 3D Design Draftsperson

SUMMARY
This role is responsible for preparing accurate and detail drawings for manufacturing, maintaining and updating existing drawings, and supporting production. The ideal candidate has strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling skills working with Autodesk software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. .
Prepare detailed 2D orthographic and isometric drawings for manufacturing using AutoCAD software
Update and revise existing drawings based on engineering or production changes
Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and documentation standards
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality department to ensure manufacturability
Develop and optimize programs for laser cutting machines using AMADA 4ie software (on-site training)
Update part data within the MRP system
Assist in continuous improvement of drafting and production processes
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience)
Experience in CAD drafting or a similar role (manufacturing environment preferred)
Proficiency in Autodesk software, including AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor (3D)
Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication processes is a plus
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and production workflows
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least three (3) years’ comparable experience or a combination of experience and education in AutoCAD drafting.
At least two (2) years’ comparable experience or a combination of experience and education in AutoCAD Inventor 3D drafting and AutoCAD Fusion 360 drafting.
At least three (3) years’ experience in the sheet metal and welding production environment with the ability to design parts for standard and special applications.
At least three (3) years of experience and or knowledge of MRP-based ERP systems.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Experience in creating, generating, and maintaining Syteline Item Master and Item BOM.
Experience in Excel spreadsheets.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, and Outlook and Email.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES AND REASONING ABILITY
Must be able and willing to consistently prioritize projects/assignments to meet deadlines.
Must be able and willing to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able and willing to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be well organized, willing and able to function at a high in a multi-tasking environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, and management.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Spanish as a second language is a plus.
