Senior Manager, Author & Licensing Relations
Role Summary: In this role the Senior Manager will drive successful strategy, implementation, negotiation and documentation of any contractual relationship we have with any outside creators/owners of content.

Drive successful strategy, implementation, negotiation and documentation of any contractual relationship we have with any outside creators/owners of content.
Support the product and editorial teams in discussions with authors and licensors, overseeing management of author contracts and templates, handling escalation of issues related to contract drafting, estate management, royalty issues, succession planning, intellectual property rights and any other issues that arise between TR and any outside creator of content; managing team contracting professionals and author relations staff.
Represent Product/Editorial in any initiatives related to compliance and risk, such as SOX compliance, OneTrust and Ariba and any other policies related to vendor onboarding.
Work with and manage TR business interests with third‑party authors, contractors, freelancers and other creators of content, coordinating with key contacts within Thomson Reuters, especially Product, Sourcing, General Counsel, Compliance, Accounts Payable and Finance organizations to ensure consistent policies.
Liaison with Product, Editorial and Marketing on new product development and support initiatives related to authored content, such as savings targets, growth projects, and commercial policies.
Represent all author initiatives for the Commentary team on a global basis and support licensing efforts as assigned.
Remove any author‑related barriers that prevent editorial teams from focusing on content creation.
Train the Editorial team on TR's standards of how we interact with authors and document our relationships.
Create and adapt contract templates for use by all editorial teams in all jurisdictions.
Represent authors in any TR policy changes or implementation or in any interactions with other TR teams.
Work closely with General Counsel's office on any author‑related issues, especially litigation matters.

5+ years Product/Editorial/Content management experience

Experience managing processes and relationships with cross‑functional partners, demonstrating strong influencing skills to achieve objectives
Business experience with financial and other data, analytics and editorial tools
