Hands On Portland, Happy Valley, OR, United States

Help Plant Trees in Happy Valley! (age 6+) Referral
Calling all tree planters! Help needed to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs near the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clackamas River!

About the Program
Friends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: Planting Trees. Together. As a tree-planting volunteer, you'll contribute to creating cleaner air and water in your community, as well as improving wildlife habitat, and a whole host of other benefits that trees provide! You\'ll learn: tree-planting skills, native tree ID, and a little about watershed restoration.

About the Project
The meeting location is Windswept Waters Natural Area: SE Windswept Waters Dr & SE Quartz Ln, Happy Valley OR, 97089. Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate — all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun! Groups, families, and individuals welcome!
