South Dakota State University is hiring: Broadcast Services Assistant in Brookin

South Dakota State University (SDState) is seeking a dynamic Broadcast Services Assistant to help create impactful video, design, and social media content that continues to elevate our athletics brand. This role supports storytelling across multiple sports—with a primary focus on football—by producing cinematic visuals and engaging digital content that highlights our student‑athletes, coaches, and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned Bachelor’s degree (preference in communications, journalism, or related field) by appointment date

Minimum one year of related experience in broadcasting or journalism

Minimum of one year of video experience in collegiate athletics

Demonstrated experience creating short‑form video content for social media platforms

Demonstrated strong computer application skills

Self‑directed and motivated

Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with video and producing collegiate sports

Experience with producing sports content for distribution on a daily or weekly basis

Knowledge and understanding of athletic sports programs

Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software
