Manager, Brand Marketing for Frozen Treats – The role is responsible for driving the global growth of a diverse portfolio of products through breakthrough innovation. The Manager will develop a category innovation pipeline, from concept development to execution, and lead cross‑functional teams through the commercialization process. He/she will help drive consistency in voice, tone and message across all channels (Packaging, Advertising, PR, Social/Content Marketing and Web Properties, collateral, trade, etc.). The Manager will contribute effectively to brand strategy, shape marketing plans, and ensure excellence of execution to deliver upon category goals.
Responsibilities
Be the category expert: understand price, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs
Digest insights, connect the dots, summarize conclusions and recommend a comprehensive product assortment and roadmap that will drive a high rate of sale
Develop category/brand positioning strategies, portfolio architecture, product level concepts, breakthrough claims and pricing strategies with the goal of increasing marketability and maximizing sales
Drive a consumer‑first mentality to develop relevant messaging and assets that deliver clear consumer understanding of products and brand, via partnership with Consumer Insights across global markets
Work with Product Development, Creative Services and Sales to develop worldwide go‑to‑market plans
Message development and execution for packaging, digital, in‑store, collateral and support for infomercial/advertising and digital efforts
Conduct post‑evaluation and analysis of activities, recommending improvements and evolutions of future brand activity
Communicate the value proposition of the products to sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process of the products
Work with Sales and Trade Marketing to develop breakthrough sell‑in stories and in‑store merchandising
Support development and implementation of best practices and processes across all consumer touchpoints
Manage creative development processes (i.e. timeline, approvals, protocols)
Manage and develop Associate Brand Managers / Brand Managers
Attributes & Skills
5 years of marketing experience, preferably with direct responsibility for product marketing, messaging, positioning and innovation planning and execution
3‑5 years of prior experience in Consumer‑Packaged Goods
Experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns
Experience in creative strategy development, advertising and launching new products
Degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent; MBA preferred
Onsite at Needham HQ 3x a week – this is not a remote opportunity.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $78,800—$161,000 USD. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
