Overview:Join the dedicated Labor & Delivery team at Piedmont Athens, where compassionate care and clinical excellence go hand in hand. Our unit is made up of 2 ORs, 2 Pre Op/PACU rooms, 14 labor rooms and 4 OB/ED beds that support 3000 deliveries annually. We provide comprehensive care for a wide range of patients and obstetric needsfrom triage and labor to surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.Our team thrives on strong prioritization, professionalism, and collaboration to provide safe, patient-centered care. Staffing ratios are thoughtfully guided by patient acuity and volume: 1:2 in laboring patients and 1:1 in active labor and OR/recovery. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
