Our client is an AM Law 100 firm. They seek a Business Development Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

Act as the main liaison for assigned practice groups, advising on marketing and business development initiatives

Collaborate with practice leadership to plan and implement client development strategies

Research potential clients and track outreach efforts, pursuits, and follow-up activities

Coordinate with colleagues across teams to support cross-selling opportunities between practices and offices

Develop customized proposals, presentations, and responses to client requests while managing timelines and coordination

Maintain and update marketing materials, experience summaries, and client-facing content

Prepare submissions for industry awards, rankings, and directories while working with internal communications teams

Coordinate media opportunities, press releases, and thought‑leadership initiatives with communications staff

Organize sponsorships, speaking engagements, and conference participation to enhance visibility

Plan and execute events such as webinars, client programs, and networking receptions while supporting onboarding and development needs for new partners

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required

5-7 years of relevant business development or marketing experience in professional services

Law firm experience preferred

Transactional experience required

Excellent project‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Strong presence, poise, and confidence when working with partners and senior professionals

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to producing accurate, high‑quality work
