The Consumer & Market Insights Analyst will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex market and consumer data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets within the beauty industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to manage large data sets, apply statistical techniques, and generate actionable insights. They should have a deep understanding of U.S. beauty market dynamics and consumer trends, coupled with proficiency in data visualization and storytelling. This role is instrumental in transforming numbers into strategic recommendations that guide business development, innovation, and long‑term planning.
Principal Accountabilities Market Intelligence: Collect and analyze data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, sales, marketing, and distribution methods.
Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze industry trends, including new product categories and advancements in beauty technology.
Reporting : Prepare comprehensive reports, including market research findings, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team.
Strategic Support: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to execute company strategies based on market research findings.
Forecasting : Develop and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, or opinion polls. Interpret and forecast market trends.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to implement market research findings into product design, marketing strategies, and business development plans
Key Experience and Skills Experience : Minimum of 2-4 years experience in market analysis or a similar role within the beauty industry in the United States, with a successful track record of actionable market research.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and deliver actionable insights. Proficiency in beauty market platforms such as Euromonitor, Circana, Numerator, and Revuze is preferred, along with experience using syndicated data tools and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
Communication Skills : Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a coherent and concise manner.
Technical Proficiency : Proficient in market research tools and methodologies, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically and translate insights into potential business outcomes.
Knowledge of Beauty Industry: Up‑to‑date with the latest beauty industry trends, consumer behaviors, and regulatory environment in the US.
Education : Bachelor's degree in market research, statistics, business or related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
Teamwork : Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
