Position Summary
The Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership seeks a Student Communication Assistant to support its communication initiatives. This role supports the Women’s Leadership Diaries platform—a multimedia series featuring women reshaping leadership—and contributes to research on daily experiences of women leaders. The Assistant will influence development of the Diaries through decision‑making, feedback, facilitating growth opportunities, and leading other student assistants.
Responsibilities
Review nominations and communicate with subjects to collect and write their stories for the platform.
Curate content to be thematic and in line with the mission of the McNulty Institute.
Produce, edit, and post blogs, podcasts, and videos through multimedia platforms.
Promote WLD stories through social media platforms.
Take initiative and propose new creative ideas to support the growth of the Women’s Leadership Diaries.
Research and generate fact sheets pertaining to women’s advancement and gender equity.
Design templates for social media.
Support cross‑campus partnerships through marketing initiatives.
Perform general website updates.
Qualifications
Interest in journalistic skills and experience, as well as editing and production skills related to blogs, podcasts, website development, and video production.
Experience in multimedia communications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to take initiative, multitask, and make mature decisions.
Proven creativity and innovation that further the growth of the McNulty Institute’s communication initiatives (preferred).
