Significance, Inc. is seeking a Change and Communication Manager within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This hybrid role is located in Rockville, MD and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

The Change and Communication Manager plays a critical role in delivering clear, professional, and impactful internal and external communications. Responsibilities include creating and presenting high‑quality PowerPoint presentations, maintaining expert‑level SharePoint pages and sites, managing complex calendars across Outlook and SharePoint, and representing the organization through public speaking in large forums. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail‑oriented, technically proficient in Microsoft 365, and capable of ensuring consistent, polished written and verbal communication that supports organizational objectives.

Required Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to create, edit, and deliver professional, visually compelling presentations for large audiences.

Expert-level skills in Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint for creating, editing, and maintaining multiple calendars across both platforms.

Very expert-level ability to develop, maintain, and manage multiple SharePoint pages/sites, including content organization, permissions, navigation, and updates.

Proven ability to speak publicly and present confidently in very large forums (in‑person or virtual).

Extremely detail‑oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong technical aptitude for Microsoft 365 ecosystem and the ability to troubleshoot basic platform issues.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, internal communications, or a similar role, with demonstrated hands‑on expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Proven track record of successfully delivering public presentations or speaking engagements to large audiences (100+ attendees).

Advanced certification or equivalent experience in Microsoft 365 (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or SharePoint Administrator) is highly preferred.

Demonstrated experience maintaining and optimizing multiple SharePoint environments in a professional setting.

Strong portfolio of professional PowerPoint presentations and calendar management examples (will be requested during the interview process).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Excellent references verifying attention to detail, technical proficiency, and public‑speaking capabilities.

Desired Skills

Experience developing and executing internal and external communication strategies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting, editing, and brand‑consistent messaging.

Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management best practices.

Project management skills to coordinate cross‑functional teams and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of media relations, press releases, or crisis communication principles.

Creativity in visual design and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging formats.

Experience measuring communication effectiveness through analytics or feedback.

Compensation
$135,000 – $145,000 a year
