Primary Function

The Aviation Quality Assurance Technical Inspector is responsible for providing full on-site maintenance flight/functional Check Flight Operations to support the US Army Flight TestDirectorate (AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with currentArmy directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20. Areas for support to be
provided include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation andtroubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flightrecords. This is to ensure all aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections and tasksperformed are compliant to Yulista Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures as wellas all applicable/approved technical data. Perform visual and physical evaluations, testing andcontrol of parts, products and raw materials to ensure conformity to established specifications,applicable standards of quality. Provide technical assistance, when needed, to determine the correct course of action to resolve maintenance problems.

Essential Duties

* The Quality Control/Technical Inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure
compliance with contract specification and applicable regulations.
* Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established
quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for
compliance with contractual provisions.
* Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a
satisfactory manner.
* Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
* Communicates deficiencies to proper personnel and follows up when necessary to ensure that
corrections are made.
* Must have working knowledge of ACN, to include all associated historical forms, i.e. 2408-15,
2408-16, 16-1, 2408-17 and DA 2410.
* Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and can learn additional computer skills/software
programs.
* Accurately key Data into databases
* Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals.
* Effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff including interactions with
other crew members.
* Perform basic mathematical computations.
* Accurately and thoroughly documents result of all inspections.
* Maintains accurate quality control files.
* Maybe required to perform other additional duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics with technical specializations or aviation quality is preferred.
* Must have thorough knowledge of Army rotary wing and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
* Verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
* A minimum of two years of experience related to developmental flight testing is preferred.
* Must have verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
* Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned to AFTD.
* Have graduated from BNOCC (ALC) or equivalent Technical Inspector Course from other services in the Armed Forces

Required Qualifications

* Minimum of 10 years' Army Aviation maintenance experience
* Must have completed a military aircraft repairer school of any of the following aircraft (AH-64A/D/E).

* Must have or can have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
* Two years of experience related to developmental flight testing preferred.
* FAA A&P License required.

In your role as Chief Test Pilot, you will serve as the primary experimental test pilot and coordinate the training and scheduling of all contract pilots. You will coordinate with Reliable's Part 135 airline operations to support standardization of pilot procedures across the organization and help to develop an aviation safety system.

Basic Success Criteria

FAA Commercial Pilot ASEL with 1500 total flight hours, including at least 500 fixed wing and 500 turbine engine, 500 XC, 100 NT, 75 INST
At least 20 flight hours within the last 12 months in a similar category aircraft to the Caravan
Experience in tactical aircraft or similar operation requiring use of a secondary skillset while piloting
Current Second Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher
8+ years of professional experience in flight operations
2+ years of experience performing or managing a flight test program or in a leadership role within an aviation context

Preferred Criteria

Graduate of an SETP recognized flight test school
Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline or equivalent industry experience Caravan or PT6A experience
Diversity of experience in multiple aircraft/ airframes2+ years experience as a CFI or military flight instructor2+ years experience with automated and/or large remotely operated vehicles (UAS, spacecraft, etc)
Experience working in a Flight Test program focused on Certification
Experience in developing flight procedures, training curricula, and safety management systems
