Job Description Summary
Engineer Accessories Instrumentation will leverage his or her engineering skills to develop design packages that relate to the upgrade or retrofit of gas or steam turbines and generator accessories. They will mainly focus on the design integration of electrical and instrumentation systems with GE control hardware for gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator accessory systems. They will work in collaboration with other engineers and technical leads to develop innovative designs that will aid in defining the E&I modifications required on different accessory systems such as lube oil, ventilation, hazardous gas, inlet and exhaust, and more. The individual is expected to execute projects of varying complexity both in ITO and OTR stages under the guidance of senior engineers and team leaders. They shall also provide necessary outage support and own ER and NCR cases originating from all post-COD units. This role requires strong engineering and technical skills and the resourcefulness to work with cross‑functional teams situated around the world to execute large and complex projects with a sharp focus on safety, world‑class quality and on‑time delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
Own and execute tasks from different workstreams such as PLM OTR, SDRs, ERs, NCRs, and other services design engineering work.
Develop innovative engineering solutions for gas, steam and generator accessory systems that meet all customer CTQs and GE Vernova design guidelines.
Prepare detailed instrumentation schematics, wiring and conduit arrangement drawings and BOM to support proposed fluid or mechanical system upgrades or modifications.
Apply working knowledge of applicable national and international codes, standards and directives such as IEC, NEC, CSA, IECEx, ATEX, etc.
Interpret project scope and develop wiring, loop, instrumentation, and schematic diagrams using electrical design principles to improve overall system performance.
Support standardization and cost‑out efforts to improve the competitiveness of GE Vernova products and services.
Provide support to address field issues, as required.
Take an active role in the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and deliverables.
Contribute to annual team priorities and initiatives.
Effectively interact with GE Vernova customers, suppliers and internal functions such as sourcing, drafting, systems engineering and project management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems, automation technologies and control systems.
Practical knowledge of relevant software tools.
Proven teamwork abilities.
Desired Characteristics
Ability to learn about different gas, steam and generator upgrade offerings.
Willingness and ability to work on new E&I systems and develop expertise on both GE Vernova and Alstom‑built machines.

Pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by factors such as experience, education and skill set.
