Responsible for providing a program of therapeutic recreation designed to enhance the residents' physical and mental capabilities, socialization skills and self-esteem in coordination with and as directed by the Activities Manager. Such programs are designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident and may take place in a group or individual setting. Offers positive encouragement for resident participation in recreation programs and special events while offering evaluation and suggestions of improvements or changes. This is a union position.Available Positions:Full-time position- 40 hours/5 days per week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8 am to 4:30 pm)* CPR/BLS certification required* High school diploma or equivalent* Enthusiastic and energetic personality* Organizational and problem-solving skills* Compassion and a want to work with the elderly* Ability to self-manage, and willingness to take initiative* Excellent communication & documentation skills* Experience a plus, but training available* CNA Certification preferredMust meet the basic health requirements including 2 step TB skin test or chest x-ray.*Excellent benefits package:** _Free employee meals_&l...
