Community Manager
The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Management – screen, hire, train, coach, develop staff; manage schedules; address performance issues.
Financial Management – achieve net operating income, control costs, develop budgets, reconcile deposits and invoices, maintain accurate financial reports.
Strategic Leasing Management – develop marketing plans, close leases, handle resident complaints, implement retention programs, show and lease units.
Administrative & Maintenance Management – ensure reporting accuracy, lead emergency response, manage maintenance requests, maintain property appearance, inventory resources, monitor work orders.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years experience in housing industry; or 1‑2 years related experience.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
Regular communication, repetitive hand motions, ability to work overtime, weekends, nights.
Standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving between work sites.
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc., lift up to 25 lbs, operate machinery, work outdoors and in confined spaces, handle hazardous chemicals.
License/Equipment
Reliable transportation required due to emergency on‑call duty.
Salary
Salary Range : $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
