Responsibilities
Salary: $23/hr.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various
maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep and cleanliness of our
facilities on 1st Shift.
Key Responsibilities:
'
Assist with general maintenance duties
such as repairing equipment, performing routine inspections, and
troubleshooting issues.
'
Conduct regular cleaning and
sanitization of work areas and equipment.
'
Collaborate with other team members to
complete maintenance tasks and projects on time.
'
Clean and sanitize equipment, tools,
and machinery on a regular basis.
'
Perform routine maintenance tasks such
as lubricating machinery, replacing filters, and checking fluid levels.
'
Conduct inspections of facilities to
identify any maintenance or repairs needed.
'
Assist with painting floors, walls,
ceilings and other surfaces as required.
'
Repair or replace damaged equipment,
fixtures, or furniture.
'
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
and equipment.
'
Collaborate with other team members to
ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
'
Report any maintenance issues or
concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
'
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a
clean and organized work environment.
'
Assists with EHS initiatives as
directed.
Assumes additional
responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
'
High school diploma or equivalent.
'
Minimum of 1-year industrial experience
in a manufacturing setting.'
'
Knowledge of basic maintenance
techniques and tools.
'
Ability to perform physical tasks such
as lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
'
Good communication skills and the
ability to work well in a team.
'
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage
time effectively.
'
Basic knowledge of safety protocols and
procedures.
'
Ability to read, write, and understand
written specifications, procedures, drawings and prints.
'
Ability to design and execute from
verbal instructions.
'
Forklift and scissor lift trained, a
plus.
Safety and quality conscious.
