Cascade Park Animal Hospital is looking for an amazing LVT to join our team! We are a long standing, 3 doctor practice, with a great team who go above and beyond for our furry patients.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.*Roles & Responsibilities*Customer Service- Facilitate client communications and education (phone, text, email and in-person)- Interact with veterinary professionals with a team based attitude- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsTechnology Focus- Fielding and responding to electronic communications- Utilize cloud-based software application (EzyVet)Patient Care- Safe and reliable restraint- Advanced mathematics- Support appointment related activities as needed (i.e. obtaining histories, TPRs / weights, assisting with medical records)- Perform standard appointment procedures (i.e. vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.)- Complete hospital admissions (i.e. verifying consent forms, patient information, medications, and fasting status)- Perform routine technical procedures including but not limited to venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy administration (including calculation of rates of flow)- Induce, maintain and monitor patients under sedation and general anesthesia- Perform therapeutic procedures and complete diagnostics (including laboratory and radiology imaging studies)- Assist with surgical and dental procedures as directedEquipment- Perform routine maintenance (as needed) to ensure equipment is in working order- Clean and care for surgical instruments (including wrapping packs and managing the autoclave cycles)- Trouble shoot with equipment support to resolve any issuesFacilities- Maintain a clean and inviting environment, adhering to OSHA requirements- Comply with and complete requirements related to the administration and management of controlled substances, ensuring DEA complianceTraining- Participate in the development and training of other technicians and veterinary assistants (under the direction of the PM and Medical Director)- Participate in annual compliance training programs, including radiation safetyCompensation & Benefits:- Competitive salary based on experience- CE / Discretionary allowance- Paid time off- Paid holidays- Pet discounts- 401(k)- Medical benefits - Employer contributed premiums- Dental / Vision benefits available- Scrub allowanceSuccess in this Role:- 2+ years of veterinary experience- xhqgsiq 4+ years of customer service experience- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred- VTS / LVT / RVT certification (required, or can be reinstated within the first ninety days)- A strong passion for helping others and our patients- Ability to communicate confidently and compassionately with veterinary professionals across different roles- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently- Strong personal accountability, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to following through on responsibilitiesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $26.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time offApplication Question(s):* Are you able to work Saturdays?Work Location: In person
