Child Life Specialist (Per diem)

Position Summary/ Department Summary:Per diem Child Life Specialist. We require a minimum of 2 shifts per month. The Child Life Specialist will be responsible for:Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitate adjustment to health care experiences Serve as member of multidisciplinary team.Delegate work assignments to volunteers/Child Life Assistant's and participate in clinical training of student interns.Minimum Qualifications Education:Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life600 hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.Experience:General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced‑based knowledge.
