Position Overview
UW Medicine Operator Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Hospital Communications Representative/Telecom Dispatcher/PBX.
Work Schedule
40 hours per week, Day Shift, Wednesday through Sunday 7am to 3:30pm.

Bringing a friendly voice to connect callers to their destination is an important part of the patient and family centered care provided at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and Harborview Medical Center (HMC)
Provide prompt courteous service using your excellent communications skills with internal and external customers

Department Description
UW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboards. Our team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of calls. We receive and route calls for our patients, their families, and staff.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Answer all incoming calls into the main telephone numbers for the medical centers
Transfer external and internal calls
Provide visitor information and general customer service reception
Receive and dispatch all emergency communication calls including trauma codes, code blue, and other medical emergencies
Paging services for patients, staff, and medical providers
Monitor and respond to alarms
Requirements
High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent. Six months of additional qualifying experience may substitute for required education.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Computer skills, including competent keyboard abilities
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
Pay Range Minimum: $21.84 hourly | Pay Range Maximum: $26.11 hourly
