Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Primary duties include but not limited to the following:
Using the McLeod billing model ensures customer billing accuracy by auditing contract rates and pricing, auditing for compliance with customer billing requirements, and ensuring the proper pricing and billing for all transportation services including accessorial charges such as hazmat and fuel surcharges are being processed.
Accountable for accurate and timely billing and ensuring all reports (ORR, Voided Orders, WDP Emails, etc.) that are system generated have been properly addressed and cleared
Meets individual productivity metrics
Proactively works with internal/external customers to resolve discrepancies, assists with resolving issues, and ensures activities that can be billed are billed
Responds to questions and requests for information from customers (internal and external) and works collaboratively with other staff, clients and/or external third-party payers in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner
Makes recommendations on improving the billing process to eliminate duplication of efforts and inefficiency at the same time increasing customer satisfaction
Shares knowledge of specific payers to ensure compliance with billing requirements and timely update to the computer system for billing and/or reporting purposes.
Research and resolve problems for billing failures and/or rebills on a weekly basis.
Work with Settlements department to identify and resolve any potential discrepancies in payment made to owner/operator. Notify the owner/operator of a pending deduction resulting from a rebill performed by a team member.
Work with terminal and regulations to expedite the processing of applicants.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma, college preferred in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent in work related experience.
Proven track record of process improvement identification and implementation.
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships.
Knowledge of types of trucks and ancillary equipment used for transportation
Must possess excellent oral communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking skills in a time-sensitive work environment.
Computer proficiency required with experience using Microsoft Office products, focusing on Microsoft Office; Word and EXCEL.
