Summer Intern – Engineering
ID Technology is seeking a Summer Intern to assist with various engineering projects. The position reports to the Project Engineering Manager of ID Technology – Fort Worth and will be based in Fort Worth, TX. This internship shall run 12 weeks. Full-time schedule Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
Data consolidation – compile drawings, 3D models and .pdf files for sales support.
Relocate and maintain drawing and model files.
Support drawing requests from sales and machinery production.
Work with engineering on drawing document control and revision changes.
Implement a project data management system.
Assist with other engineering projects as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
Rate: $20/hour.
Salary and comprehensive benefits include medical/dental programs, life insurance, generous paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match. Eligibility for benefits begins on the first day of employment.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or higher Industrial Engineering degree or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering program.
Experience in SolidWorks required.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
Skilled in recognizing and offering alternative solutions.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and work with all levels of employees and management.
Self-motivated, task-oriented, and able to self-direct daily activity.
