Fitter
Essential Functions:
- Assemble fabrications using layout/fitter procedures.
- Prepare work to be accomplished by: studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and material lists. Gathering material and tools.
- Layout parts and subassemblies by: reading measurements.
- Assemble material by: tacking welding parts to fit correctly.
- Verify specifications by: measuring completed assembly.
- Resolve assembly problems by: notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources and information. Altering dimensions to meet specifications if approved.
- Possess technical knowledge of welding procedures, welding materials and welding equipment by: applying experience. Learning company welding standards. On the job training.
- Operate material handling equipment by: following company procedure instructions.
- Maintain welding supplies inventory by: reporting anticipated needs to supervisor.
- Ensure safe and clean environment by: complying with safety rules and regulations. Maintaining clean work area.
- Contribute to team effort by: performing related duties as instructed in a respectful manner. Being available to work overtime when necessary.
Qualifications, Education, Knowledge, Training, Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Manufacturing Background
- Shop Math Skills
- Blueprint Reading
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overtime as needed
