The Digital Surgery Production Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of digital surgery cases throughout the manufacturing workflow, from case initiation through final shipment. This role serves as the central point of coordination and expediting across Case Management, Business Services, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Logistics, Software/Product, and offshore suppliers to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery. This position plays a critical role in driving execution, visibility, and data integrity across digital production systems, including SAP and internal workflow tools. In addition to daily case coordination, the role supports continuous improvement efforts to enhance throughput, quality, and scalability of Acumed’s digital surgery operations.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end coordination and execution of patient-matched digital surgery cases from initiation through shipment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to support execution and on-time delivery.
Maintain real-time visibility to WIP, priorities, and constraints across manufacturing operations.
Facilitate daily production and scrum meetings to communicate status, surface risks, and drive alignment.
Proactively engage on the shop floor to verify status, identify delays, and resolve issues at the source.
Actively expedite work through the manufacturing process to ensure on-time completion of priority and time-sensitive cases.
Identify and address bottlenecks, material shortages, capacity constraints, and quality holds.
Escalate risks, delays, and priority conflicts early with clear communication and recommended recovery actions.
Serve as the central point of coordination across manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, case management, and software teams.
Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure priorities are clear, commitments are met, and blockers are removed.
Support Agile execution practices, including stand-ups, workflow tracking, and backlog-style prioritization.
Partner and collaborate closely with Planning team to ensure demand is correctly cascaded and supply constraints are factored in.
Develop and own KPIs monitoring the performance and driving actions.
Track commitments, follow up on actions, and elevate gaps to maintain execution standards and timelines while managing key stakeholders.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve throughput, workflow efficiency, and system effectiveness.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and execution.
Train and support team members on workflow processes and execution expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in operations, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience operating in Agile/Scrum or project-based environments, including facilitating stand-ups, tracking work progress, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
Scrum Master certification is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases under tight deadlines.
Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma principles, with the ability to apply structured problem-solving approaches in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with regular shop floor engagement.
Ability to assess competing priorities, identify risk, and elevate issues appropriately to support on-time delivery.
Experience maintaining alignment between system transactions and actual shop floor status.
Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with incomplete information.
Flexibility to support urgent or time-sensitive cases as required.
Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
