
Laboratory Technician, Device Design

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician, Device Design to join their team! This position is located in Indianola, Pennsylvania.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential technical support for multiple project teams within a dynamic Research & Development laboratory environment. Working at the intersection of Life Cycle Engineering and New Product Development, you will play a critical role in supporting device design initiatives across international operations. This hands‑on role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative laboratory setting, working alongside skilled technicians and engineers to execute design testing and contribute to the advancement of medical technologies. You will gain valuable experience with sophisticated testing equipment while supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing product lines for sterile disposables and electro‑mechanical components used in medical imaging systems.
Duties:
Learn and operate various test equipment, including universal test machines, hydraulic burst/leak testers, and environmental chambers
Learn and operate medical injector systems across multiple imaging modalities
Execute design testing in accordance with established test protocols and methodologies
Access and work within controlled documentation and test systems to retrieve test information and maintain accurate records
Provide technical support in developing test methods, including specifying and establishing necessary test equipment and fixturing
Attend meetings to provide technical input and support for lifecycle and development test efforts
Collaborate with technicians across sterile disposables and electro‑mechanical disciplines within the laboratory
Desired Skills/Experience:
Associate’s degree, technical certification, military training, or 2+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical problems in design testing
Creative problem‑solving skills to address complex technical challenges
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Ability to prioritize tasks and plan daily activities effectively
Strong time‑management skills to meet project timelines
Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams
Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse team members

The approximate pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $32.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
