Job Description – A 13‑week seasonal assignment at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), a leading safety‑net academic medical center. The role allows you to gain experience and potentially transition to a permanent position. The program offers competitive base pay and the possibility of contract extensions based on unit needs.
Under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology Section Manager and according to established policies, the technologist performs diagnostic procedures to assist radiologists. Duties include a wide variety of technical procedures such as aortogram runoffs, arches, carotids, and extremities. Exams are performed in a sterile environment, requiring venous access. The technologist operates independently with judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
Qualifications
Graduate of a two‑year AMA‑accredited radiologic technology program.
Registered ARRT.
Current CPR certification.
Florida licensure (or 90‑day pathway to become licensed in Florida).
Minimum of two years’ experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.
Schedule
Scheduled days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Shift
Day Job: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Call and stay late shifts Saturday and Sunday call.
