Schumacher Auto Group is seeking a full‑time Graphic Production Artist to join our team.
This is a full‑time graphic design position in the marketing department of an iconic fast‑paced automotive company in South Florida. The Production Artist will collaborate with the Director of Marketing and the Brand Graphics Designer to prepare marketing materials, create print layouts, source and execute print requests for a variety of media, give creative input, develop on‑brand logos and images, design to prepare the final files for print or digital media, including brand promotional tools and brand websites.
This person will support project requirements, visualize, and create graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos for use on websites, eblasts, social media, apparel designs, proposals, print designs, event collateral, internal and external marketing to ensure the design specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Their combined knowledge of both graphics and technical skills makes the Production Artist essential to the marketing department team.
Responsibilities
Creating and manipulating graphics through Adobe Creative Suite apps such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and InDesign
Processing, reviewing and proofing various graphics files for formatting, resizing, and cropping images and graphics, applying color corrections, filters, checking and fixing errors, typos, and inconsistencies, and other effects, creating and editing layouts, templates, and mockups
Assisting design teams in producing print, packaging, advertising, point‑of‑purchase, and digital graphics
Assessing project specifics and creating a final product that adheres to those requirements by following the brand guidelines and style guides
Design graphics for projects including branding, website banners, social images, eblasts with CTA hyperlinks, direct mail, invitations, magazines and other print publications and proposal projects
Fulfills and tracks marketing print project and collateral requests (i.e. forms, business cards, manuals, posters, invitations, postcards, award certificates, etc.)
Support Eblast and broadcast campaign execution
Collaborating with the design team staff to define design goals
Produce high quality artwork within the agreed deadline using various software applications by following a product workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress in a timely manner
Optimizing and exporting files for different platforms and devices
Distributes marketing collateral across campuses
Keep up to date on the latest design trends
Maintain and manage digital files and artwork
Prepare Purchase Orders and send approval requests for outsourced projects
Orders Marketing Department office supplies
Attends training and meetings as requested
Take photos for company magazine, new employees for websites, and organic social media
Attends bi‑weekly social media content planning meetings and implements content plans
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, graphic design, or a related field.
1‑3 Years in graphic design and experience in a print production environment
A qualification in graphic design may be advantageous.
Proven work experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar with a proven track of delivering a design project from end to end in a fast‑paced work environment.
A portfolio of completed graphics and designs.
2+ years’ experience in Adobe Creative Suite & Adobe Illustrator, MS Office
2+ years’ experience in Design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Experience with digital content, such as social media, online advertising, and email campaigns.
Basic knowledge of web‑development software, including HTML5 and Adobe After Effects.
Strong attention to detail with analytical, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
