Controls Hardware Design Engineer (Level II & III)
Compensation: $95,000 – $140,000 (Commensurate with Level and experience)

The Opportunity
Join a premier custom automation and turnkey equipment manufacturer known for solving complex engineering challenges. We are seeking experienced Controls Hardware Design Engineers to lead the electrical and fluid power architecture for sophisticated, one-of-a-kind robotic systems. Whether you are a mid-career professional (Level II) or a senior technical lead (Level III), this role offers the chance to see your designs move from a blank AutoCAD sheet to a fully functional, high-speed production line.

The Mission
As a core member of the engineering team, you will translate mechanical concepts into robust electrical realities. You won't just be drafting; you will be the bridge between customer requirements and physical execution.

Design Ownership
Develop full-scale schematics (AC/DC, Safety, Servo, and Industrial Networks) using AutoCAD Electrical.

Technical Integrity
Perform critical engineering calculations including Enclosure Heat, SCCR, and SISTEMA safety ratings.

Cross‑Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Mechanical Designers and Build Technicians to ensure seamless machine functionality and debug.

Requirements
We are looking for engineers who thrive in a "design-build" environment where every project is unique.

Education
BS in EE, EET, Mechatronics, or equivalent industry experience.

Industry Tenure

Level II: 5–10 years of experience in custom automation design.

Level III: 10+ years with a proven track record of leading high‑complexity projects.

Technical Proficiency
Mastery of AutoCAD Electrical and a deep understanding of NFPA79 and UL508a standards.

Analytical Skills
Strong ability to calculate power requirements, fluid power flow, and scaling factors for diverse industrial components (Robots, Testers, Welders).
